Empire State Partnerships

The Empire State Partnerships program (ESP) was a statewide program that supported partnerships between schools and arts organizations. Funded by the state of New York (through New York State Council on the Arts and  New York State Department of Education) from 1996 – 2009, the program yielded much innovation in curriculum design, document and assessment procedures.

The information, images and resources found on the archived site represent the work of dozens, if not hundreds, of teachers, artists, researchers and administrators.  On this site, you may discover curriculum materials for arts learning at many grade levels, planning templates for an arts partnership, documentation of student learning, records of professional development events, and research articles, among many other items.
